What are rubber coated balls?

Rubber coated balls combine a metal, plastic or ceramic core with a bonded elastomer layer. The core supplies geometry and mass while the coating provides grip, compliance, sealing, damping or surface protection.

Coating polymer, Shore hardness, thickness, bond system, concentricity and fluid compatibility determine performance. NBR, EPDM, silicone, polyurethane and other compounds serve different oils, water, heat and abrasion conditions.
